I am very aware that Christmas has come and gone and that I haven't blogged since Halloween :/ I don’t know what ive been doing but it sure seems like ive been busy these last few months! Anyway Christmas…………… this year for the schools Christmas program they did Christmas around the world! The girls practiced and practiced their songs for the program it was the cutest thing! They had sang the songs so much at home that even Shaylee knew all the words and loved to sing along with them. Taylors class sang a French song called Patapan and they even got to wear a beret! Taylor had a speaking part in the program that was about French traditions at Christmas time. She did such a good job!!!
Brooklyn's class sang a Hawaiian song called Mele Kalikimaka. She LOVED it! I would try and sing it with her but she would get mad because I couldn’t say Mele Kalikimaka right. She worked very hard to get that down!! She got to wear a grass skirt for her song and she couldn’t have been happier!!!
After the program was over we got a cute picture on the stage of all our girls!!
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
Every year we go to my grandma and grandpas for Christmas Eve! I have not missed a year since ive been born and it is something that I look forward to every Christmas!! I don’t think it would seem like Christmas without this tradition. I love going and seeing my grandma and grandpa, aunts and uncle, cousins and of course my mom and dad and brother and sisters and their families!!! Our family has gotten big enough that its hard to get everyone together so its nice to see everyone. The girls cant wait for the party because they know they get to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas!!! This year we had a fun surprise, Mrs. Clause was able to come with Santa to see the kids!!! I think all of the kids loved having both Mr. and Mrs. Clause there!!
Taylor was very excited to tell Santa all about a bike she had been wanting!!
Brooklyn wanted a dsi up until about a week before Christmas and then she decided she wanted an easy bake oven, an ice cream maker and a cotton candy maker………huh………….. needles to say she was very excited to make sure she could tell him she had changed her mind and all of the new things she wanted, in fact she didn’t even wait for him to call her up! The second he sat down she walked right up to him, sat on his lap and told him everything she wanted!!!
Sadly, again this year Shaylee was to scared to go set on Santa's lap. He was so cute with her though when he seen how scared she was he came and knelt by her so she could tell him what she wanted!!! However she told him she wanted a dsi so when she opened her gift he had brought for her that night and it wasn’t a dsi she wasn’t to happy.
Look at all of the kids opening their gifts!!!! I love it
We got a picture of most of the kids with Mrs. Clause. Santa was busy talking to everyone.
After we left my grandma and grandpas we went over to my mom and dads to watch them open their gifst, another tradition I love! Growing up we always opened our presents on Christmas eve night and then had our Christmas from Santa on Christmas morning. After we watched them and my sisters family open gifts it was time to head home and get the kiddos in bed before Santa came!! Taylors teacher Mrs. Blackham had given her class reindeer food to sprinkle outside so that the reindeer could see where to stop so after the girls spared the reindeer food and set out a plate of treats for Santa and his reindeer they were off to bed!!! It was a very fun night!!
Christmas morning couldn’t have been better! The girls didn’t get up until 7:30 which I was very happy about and when they saw what Santa had left for them they where all very happy!!!
Santa brought the girls some cute snow hats, I love these pictures
I also love seeing how excited they are to open their gifts
They couldn’t wait to make ice cream!!
We had such a good Christmas!!
