Christmas……..yep I’m very behind!!

I am very aware that Christmas has come and gone and that I haven't blogged since Halloween :/ I don’t know what ive been doing but it sure seems like ive been busy these last few months! Anyway Christmas…………… this year for the schools Christmas program they did Christmas around the world! The girls practiced  and practiced their songs for the program it was the cutest thing! They had sang the songs so much at home that even Shaylee knew all the words and loved to sing along with them. Taylors class sang a French song called Patapan and they even got to wear a beret! Taylor had a speaking part in the program that was about French traditions at Christmas time. She did such a good job!!!

Brooklyn's class sang a Hawaiian song called Mele Kalikimaka. She LOVED it! I would try and sing it with her but she would get mad because I couldn’t say Mele Kalikimaka right. She worked very hard to get that down!! She got to wear a grass skirt for her song and she couldn’t have been happier!!!

After the program was over we got a cute picture on the stage of all our girls!!

Christmas Eve/Christmas Day

Every year we go to my grandma and grandpas for Christmas Eve! I have not missed a year since ive been born and it is something that I look forward to every Christmas!! I don’t think it would seem like Christmas without this tradition. I love going and seeing my grandma and grandpa, aunts and uncle, cousins and of course my mom and dad and brother and sisters and their families!!! Our family has gotten big enough that its hard to get everyone together so its nice to see everyone. The girls cant wait for the party because they know they get to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas!!! This year we had a fun surprise, Mrs. Clause was able to come with Santa to see the kids!!! I think all of the kids loved having both Mr. and Mrs. Clause there!!

Taylor was very excited to tell Santa all about a bike she had been wanting!!

DSC00184

Brooklyn wanted a dsi up until about a week before Christmas and then she decided she wanted an easy bake oven, an ice cream maker and a cotton candy maker………huh………….. needles to say she was very excited to make sure she could tell him she had changed her mind and all of the new things she wanted, in fact she didn’t even wait for  him to call her up! The second he sat down she walked right up to him, sat on his lap and told him everything she wanted!!!

DSC00175

Sadly, again this year Shaylee was to scared to go set on Santa's lap. He was so cute with her though when he seen how scared she was he came and knelt by her so she could tell him what she wanted!!! However she told him she wanted a dsi so when she opened her gift he had brought for her that night and it wasn’t a dsi she wasn’t to happy.

Look at all of the kids opening their gifts!!!! I love it Smile

We got a picture of most of the kids with Mrs. Clause. Santa was busy talking to everyone.

DSC00187

After we left my grandma and grandpas we went over to my mom and dads to watch them open their gifst, another tradition I love! Growing up we always opened our presents on Christmas eve night and then had our Christmas from Santa on Christmas morning. After we watched them and my sisters family open gifts it was time to head home and get the kiddos in bed before Santa came!! Taylors teacher Mrs. Blackham had given her class reindeer food to sprinkle outside so that the reindeer could see where to stop so after the girls spared the reindeer food and set out a plate of treats for Santa and his reindeer they were off to bed!!! It was a very fun night!!

Christmas morning couldn’t have been better! The girls didn’t get up until 7:30 which I was very happy about and when they saw what Santa  had left for them they where all very happy!!!

Halloween

I cant believe Halloween has already came and gone!! I thought since its thanksgiving this week I better hurry and get my Halloween pictures blogged so im not so far behind!! This year Taylor was set on being Cleopatra for Halloween. We couldn’t find a child size Cleopatra outfit so we went for the adult outfits and found one! Lucky for us Grandma Nana was able to fix it so it fit just right!!
Brooklyn was a witch but not just any witch she was a “magical princess witch”!! Isn't that cute! That girl makes me smile so much!!
Shaylee was a pirate but she was also not just any pirate she was a “princess pirate”!! And I have to say the cutest princess pirate ive seen!!!

DSC00100
We went to the school for the Halloween carnival for a couple of hours. They always have big blow up slides and jump houses. They even had a rock wall for the kids to climb!!!
DSC00101
Taylor got pretty far up the rock but every time I tried to take a picture of her when she was high I would miss her.
DSC00119
Brooklyn keep going head first down the slid over and over again. Fun times……….
DSC00108
This is about as brave as Shaylee got. At least she was having fun.
We usually go over to Fairview to trick or treat but this year we stayed in Ft. Green. This is also the first year we have went door to door trick or treating we have done trunker treating in the past. I'm not sure which way I like better but either way we all had a lot of fun!!!!

Carving Pumpkins
Carving Pumpkins is something the girls love to do with their dad. He is really into making cool faces on the pumpkins. This year we kind of ran out of time to do something really cool but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The girls usually clean the pumpkins out themselves and then me and Mike take over the carving but this year the girls carved their own all by themselves, well not Shaylee but she did help! I was pretty proud of how good the girls did with their pumpkins.

I cant believe Halloween is over but im ready to enjoy the holidays!!!

Science Project

This is the first year Taylor has been required to do the science fair. She has wanted to do it in years past but I never let her, science isn’t really my favorite subject!!! Needless to say I put Mike in charge of helping her and guess what………….. she won 3rd place in her class!!!!! She was so excited. Her project was on a potato powered clock. She had a lot of fun with Mike doing this project!!

Catch up time

I have so much I need to blog! I like to print my blog at the end of the year, for me my blog is like my journal/scrap book. I say that because from time to time I have some random pictures I like to post for memory sake. This entry is one of those random ones!!

Guess who's old enough to mow the law!!!!

DSC00027

Can you believe it. This was the first time she has ever mowed a lawn before. She was so proud of her self and I must say I was very happy she can help keep it mowed next summer!!!!

Wacky Hair day!!!

For Red Ribbon week the kids got to have a wacky hair day!! Of course all the girls cared about was what color they could spray their hair. We had some fun with it!!

DSC00036

DSC00038

Sometimes I wish we could do fun things like this every day because they are SO much easier to get up in the morning when they get to do stuff like this!!

DSC00039DSC00040

Taylor could not wait for wacky hair day. She has been talking about what she is going to do for a very long time.

DSC00043DSC00044

Brooklyn was a little worried  about going to school with her hair all crazy. I had to promise her that if she was the only one in her class with wacky hair she could call me and I would come and get her!

DSC00041DSC00042

Shaylee is so funny, she never likes me to do her hair. And if I ever try to pull the back up she gets pretty mad at me but not  today! She wanted hair like her sisters!!

Back to School

The girls started school last month! I can’t believe how fast summer went this year. It didn’t seem near long enough. We had a lot of fun times through the summer though so I guess its time to get back to a schedule. Taylor is going to be in 3rd grade this year! She is so excited and ready for school. We got a knew 3rd grade teacher this year. Her name is Mrs. Blackham and so far Taylor is really liking her!

DSC00004

Can you believe how grown up she looks!! Also if you haven't seen her for awhile when we went to get a hair cut to go back to school she decided to cut her hair short!! I love it but it sure does make her look more grown up.

DSC00025

DSC00023

She was all smiles when I picked her up from school!!

Brooklyn started kindergarten this year!!! I cant believe she is really old enough to go to “the big kid school”! I'm not sure how I feel about it either. She has been on the count down ever since preschool got over so needless to say she was ready for school to start too.

DSC00005

She was so excited the whole morning. Two years ago I remember thinking I was going to have to go to kindergarten with her because she was so shy and now look at her!!

DSC00018

When I picked Brooklyn up from school she told me it was “the best day ever”!

DSC00013

Of course Shaylee had a hard morning, both of her sisters were off to school and she was stuck at home with me. But guess what………… a few weeks after the girls started school Shaylee did too!! Can we say tears, great big tears!! All three of my girls are in school! Isn't it crazy. For some reason I don’t feel old enough to have all of them in school :/ hehe But I cant even tell you  how happy Shaylee was to start! I'm so happy she finally gets to go.

IMG_0398

She didn’t even want me to walk her to class. I had to wait until she was inside the building before I could go in and take pictures of her because every time I would  try to walk her to her class room she would tell me to go back to the car! And if you know Shaylee you know she can be very persistent so I waited at the car!!

IMG_0406

She is SO happy!

IMG_0410

It is so much fun watching them grow up and learn new things. They remind me all the time how the little things in life really end up being the things that matter! I love them so much!!!!
